WHEELS 2.0 PLAYS THE FIELD
This Week, Jesse and Erica Choose Doors #1, 2 and 3, Finding Winners Behind All Three
Wheels has ADD—again. This week, we feature a neo-soulstress, a Christian rock band and a metal group formed by a brother and sister. In other words, we have a little something for everyone, and we intend to keep it that way, so keep sending your thoughts and feedback to [email protected], and maybe next week your favorite new band will be featured.

Maiysha: Lotsa industry buzz about neo-soulstress Maiysha, whose debut, This Much Is True, just dropped on the UFO-distributed indie Eusonia Records, and she’s already drawing comparisons to the likes of Beyonce and Alicia Keys in her smart lyrics and elegant grooves. With influences like Diana Ross, Chaka Khan, Donna Summer, Stevie Wonder and Prince, the Sarah Lawrence alum credits her attorney dad and TV journalist mom for raising her on '70s and '80s pop soul. Oh, yeah, she's also a model. VH-1 upped the spins on her video for “Wanna Be” this week, and we hear the weasels were out in full force for her release party Thursday night. Check out her music at www.myspace.com/maiyshamusic.

Family Force 5: Moving more than 20k units, and #136 SoundScan, is this Christian band. Showing great potential, these rockers have penetrated specialty radio and PureVolume, while racking up north of 13 million plays on MySpace. Leading the Force to stardom is former promo man (!) Chris Woltman. Head straight to www.myspace.com/familyforce5 and get your finger on the pulse before they make their crossover to the mainstream.

Guilt by Association: This Chatsworth, CA-based metal group has shared the stage with some of rock’s best, including, Motorhead, A Static Lullaby and Skid Row. With 49k+ friends on MySpace and over 300k plays, they continue to grind on a quest to one day reaching the upper echelons of rock like their mentors before them.
