ICING THE BUCK!
P!nk, John Legend, Toby Keith, Rascal Flatts, Celine and Snow Patrol Bow in Top 10
After just two weeks in Wal-Mart stores nationwide, AC/DC has sold more than a million albums, with a second straight week at #1 and 273k in sales for their Columbia Records album Black Ice.

Not bad for a band who hadn’t recorded a new studio album in eight years.

LaFace/ZLG pop-rock diva P!nk parlays her hit single “So What” into the highest debut of the week, with Funhouse bowing at #2, generating 181k in sales, one of six newcomers to the Top 10.

Disney’s High School Musical Senior Year soundtrack (#3), Grand Hustle/Atlantic’s T.I. (#7) and BNA/SBMG Nashville’s Kenny Chesney (#10) are the sole holdovers, with the rest of the chart leaders first-timers, including Columbia’s John Legend (#4), Show Dog Nashville’s Toby Keith (#5), Lyric Street’s Rascal Flatts (#6), Columbia’s Celine Dion (#7) and Geffen’s Snow Patrol (#10).

With Legend and Dion joining AC/DC, that gives Steve Barnett’s Columbia three in the Top 10 heading into the home stretch of the all-important Q4.

Other chart debuts are registered by Lost Highway’s Ryan Adams (#12), Interscope’s Lady GaGa (#16), Provident/Reunion’s Michael W. Smith (#18), Atlantic’s Bloc Party (#19), Geffen’s The Cure (#20), Hollywood’s Queen + Paul Rodgers (#41) and Suburban Noize’s Kottonmouth Kings (#45).

Mercury’s Duffy climbs back into the Top 50 at #38, while Warner Bros. Nashville’s Faith Hill (#44-36, + 32%), Arista/RMG’s Jennifer Hudson (#13, +23%), Disney’s Nightmare Revisited (#34, +23%) and Capitol’s Coldplay (#21, +26%) show the biggest double-digit gains. Word’s Christian rock compilation Wow Hits 2009 is also up 4% at #40.

Hitting the streets this week are Universal Republic’s Hinder, Atlantic’s Twilight soundtrack Decca’s Andrea Bocelli, Universal Motown’s Q Tip and Arista Nashville’s Brad Paisley.
