WHEELS 2.0 IS ON A VISSION QUEST

You’re Gonna “Like” Jesse’s Latest Offering,
to Say the Least
This week we spotlight a hot track from Static Revenger, who’s achieved international acclaim as producer, writer, music video director and remixer—and remarkably, he’s still unsigned. On deck is a young group with the potential to make a major impact. Read on, and keep feedin’ the ol’ inbox: [email protected].

SPOTLIGHT
Richard Vission and Static Revenger featuring Luciana
(http://www.myspace.com/richardvission): The track, titled “I Like That,” is exploding. The video has nearly a million YouTube plays in the U.S. alone. They have had about 100 spins on two powerful L.A. stations in KIIS and Power 106. The record has already scanned about 10k total without actually being serviced—not even to mix shows. In Australia, “I Like That” is the #19 most played record on radio this week, with nationwide heavy rotation play on Nova and Top 5 requests on specialty on Austereo in the two markets that have started it, and it looks like it’ll go on their national playlist in the next couple of weeks. Static Revenger has had a couple of big remixes lately, with Paul Van Dyk, hitting #1 on the club charts in the U.K., while his mix of EMI artist Wynter Gordon was used for the Christmas Victoria's Secret campaign here in the U.S. Weasels are chomping at the bit, and we expect a deal to go down very soon.

ON DECK
Brothers at Sea (www.myspace.com/brothersatsea): This piano-driven alternative quintet, which reminds us of The Fray and Switchfoot, released its debut EP two weeks ago for free on various sites. Their music was played in The Real World, and overall downloads of the five songs featured on the show are up to 22k in five weeks, catching the attention of several majors. This is extremely radio-friendly material; check it out on their MySpace page and let us know what ya think.
