The show’s signature moment came when Cohen, dressed in a feathered bird costume with his butt cheeks exposed as Bruno, flew in on a wire, crashed into an overhead obstacle and was lowered headfirst into the lap of Eminem, his butt in the face of the rapper, who let out a stream of censored expletives.

TWILIGHT RULES, BRUNO MOONS EMINEM

MTV Movie Awards Has a Little Something for Everyone
It was a night for vampires and a flying Bruno perching his bare ass on Eminem’s face.

Twilight was the big winner at last night’s MTV Movie Awards and the rapper arguably the biggest loser after an airborne, Sacha Baron Cohen landed butt-first on the startled rapper, who stormed from the venue with his bodyguards in tow.

The popular teen vampire drama earned five total awards, including Best Movie, Best Fight, Best Kiss and Breakthrough Male (Robert Pattinson) and Female Performance (Kristen Stewart) at Sunday’s frequently bleeped and never dull ceremony, hosted by SNL’s Andy Samberg at L.A.’s Gibson Amphitheatre. Fans voted on the winners.

Other winners included High School Musical 3 star Zac Efron for Male Performance and co-star Ashley Tisdale for Female Breakthrough Performance. Miley Cyrus accepted the Best Song from a Movie for "The Climb" from Hannah Montana: The Movie, the only category Twilight didn’t win.

The brand-new "WTF Moment” award went to Amy Poehler's scene in Baby Mama where she pees in a sink.

"Eminem, nice to meet you... Is the real Slim Shady about to stand up?" Bruno chirped, in a moment reminiscent of Howard Stern arriving as Fartman at the MTV Video Music Awards back in 1992. The surly rapper then responded, "Are you fucking kidding me?" Check it out for yourself here.

Eminem seemed visibly upset by the encounter, and members of his entourage tried to rough up Baron Cohen as the rapper struggled to get out, with Bruno announcing the name of Efron as winner for Male Performance, insisting, "I already have a boyfriend."

Was it a set-up? Eminem, who earlier had performed “We Made You” and “Crack a Bottle” from his new album Relapse, stormed out, with the cameras rolling.

Apparently Baron Cohen's bit was included in rehearsals, but Eminem didn't take part in that part of the run-through. As the rapper stormed off, it sounded as though he was wearing a microphone, and cameras were in position to record his fast exit, but he was not seen or heard from again.

It wasn't the first time Eminem has lost his cool at an MTV ceremony. Sparks flew when the rapper was interviewed by Triumph the Insult Comic Dog at 2002's Video Music Awards.

Before the broadcast, Heath Ledger was awarded the Best Villain trophy for his twisted turn as the Joker in The Dark Knight, Jim Carrey won for Best Comedic Performance in Yes Man and Ben Stiller received the MTV Generation Award for lifetime achievement.

During the broadcast, which the studios use to hype their summer releases, new footage from the upcoming films Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and the Twilight sequel, New Moon, was aired.

Samberg kicked off the show with a movie mash-up featuring cameos from Taylor Swift and Justin Timberlake before launching into an on-stage rap performance in which he attempted to woo a surly Megan Fox in the audience. Samberg later crooned with
Will Ferrell during a movie montage that poked fun at "cool guys" in movies who "don't look at explosions,” while a medley of his SNL Digital Short Lonely Island music videos, like “Dick in a Box” and “Jizz in my Pants,” was performed by LeAnn Rimes, Chris Isaak and Forest Whitaker.
