RED LINES UP MORELLI,
HAZAN-DEVAUL
Bob Morelli is upped to President of RED Distribution, by Sony BMG Music Entertainment COO Tim Bowen, to whom he’ll report.
Morelli will continue to oversee all areas of RED’s operations, including sales, marketing, new media, field marketing, radio promotion, business affairs, support services and keeping Mark Pearson on hold.
Commented Bowen: “This promotion recognizes the impressive work that Bob has done in building RED’s presence in the independent sector. And one day, I even hope to meet him.”
Morelli then promoted Lynn Hazan-DeVaul, previously RED’s SVP Finance and Operations, to EVP/GM.
Other promotions include Denise Fanelli to VP W.C. Region; Paul Reitz to Sr. Director, E.C. Region and Jaclyn Bertsch to Director, RED Strategic Marketing.
Said Morelli: “I am pleased to promote Lynn and have her assist me and the entire RED team as we continue to refine our focus, develop campaigns that seamlessly integrate the world of physical and digital sales, and bring outstanding value to the labels and artists we work with. But by no means am I giving her my executive washroom key.”
Morelli served as RED EVP/GM since 2005. Prior to that he was EVP/GM for Sony BMG Music Sales, overseeing the integration of the former sales operations of BMG Distribution and Sony Music Distribution.
Hazan-DeVaul was previously VP and then CFO, SVP of Finance and Administration for RCA Records. She received an undergraduate degree in Finance from M.I.T., an MBA from the Wharton School of Business, and still has the first dollar she ever made.
