RCA, ZLG JOIN INTERNATIONAL, SALES DEPARTMENTS

John Fleckenstein Named SVP International, Bob Anderson and Kevin Twitchell Head Joint Sales Department
Consolidation continues apace at RCA Music Group and Zomba Label Group, which have joined to create new International and Sales Departments for the BMG Label Group.

John Fleckenstein has been named SVP International, BMG Label Group, overseeing international affairs for all the RCA and ZLG artists and reporting to RCA EVP/GM Tom Corson ZLG EVP/GM Tom Carrabba, based in the company’s N.Y. headquarters.

Bob Anderson and Kevin Twitchell will lead the new BMG Label Group Sales department, combining field marketing, digital sales and support efforts for all RCA Music Group and Zomba Label Group artists, reporting to Corson and Carrabba.

Fleckenstein joined Zomba as SVP International, in 2005. He worked with international territories on many successful campaigns including Justin Timberlake, Pink, R. Kelly and Chris Brown projects. Previously, he served as VP Sony BMG Global Marketing Group.

Anderson has been a part of ZLG as SVP Sales since 2004. He previously held the title of Vice President, National Sales, Jive Records where he worked for seven years. Twitchell was named SVP Sales, RCA Music Group in 2003 after serving as SVP Sales, RCA Records since 2002. Prior to this stint, he was SVP, Sales, London/Sire Records.

BMG N.A.’s Charles Goldstuck comments: "John's extensive experience in the international market, especially in dealing with both established and new artists makes this position ideally suited to him. Having worked for both Arista and Zomba he is intimately familiar with the entire BMG roster. Both Kevin and Bob's commitment, knowledge, and experience have been vital to our success, and their expanded roles are well-deserved. Broadening their responsibilities and combining their talent will maximize positioning for the entire BMG roster in the marketplace. Unfortunately, the new positions do not come with invitations to Clive’s annual pre-Grammy party."

ZLG’s Barry Weiss comments: "Both John and Bob have been an integral part of Zomba's success and their newly expanded roles within BMG are well deserved. John's exceptional knowledge of the international landscape along with his strong marketing skills and relationships will allow him to continue to develop and position BMG artists as world-wide superstars and global brands. Bob's expertise in sales and entrepreneurial spirit have kept the Zomba Label Group at the forefront of a constantly shifting marketplace, and partnered with Kevin's vast knowledge and experience, their combined leadership will be extremely beneficial to BMG's amazing stable of established and emerging artists. But if they think they get offices with windows, they’re sadly mistaken.”
