In moves designed to further strengthen Hollywood Records’ executive lineup, Buena Vista Music Group Chairman Bob Cavallo announced multiple staff promotions and additions in key departments.

Starting at the top, Sr. VP/GM Abbey Konowitch and Sr. VP of Promotion Justin Fontaine have signed new long-term deals. Said Cavallo, “Abbey has played a major role in our success in the past few years. His vision has propelled the staff to achieve our goals and beyond, and he has become an integral part of our team in all strategic areas. Abbey's background as a record executive, along with his MTV experience, make him a tremendous asset. Not only that, but I couldn’t do without his soothing back rubs. Similarly, Justin and his team have delivered hit after hit at radio, which has obviously helped with our success. Plus, he does a killer DiNiro impression.”

Jon Lind has been upped to Sr. VP A&R for Hollywood and Sr. VP Publishing for BVMG. “In this new dual position, Jon will utilize his far-reaching experience as a premiere songwriter and producer to make our repertoire even better,” noted Cavallo.

Ken Bunt becomes Sr. VP Marketing. Said Konowitch, “It’s vital to our business to stay ahead of the curve, and Ken is the perfect candidate to coordinate a multifaceted approach to record marketing.” Bunt previously held the title of VP Online Marketing.

Finally, Lillian Matulic joins Hollywood as VP Publicity, with corporate publicity among her duties. Most recently, Matulic was SVP Publicity at Geffen and MCA. “Lillian’s wealth of experience and her extraordinary media instincts will make an enormous impact in terms of exposure of our artists,” Konowitch commented.

These moves come on the heels of the label’s best-ever year, with platinum and multi-platinum records from Hilary Duff, Jesse McCartney, Breaking Benjamin, Queen and Rascal Flatts, with McCartney and Breaking Benjamin extending the run into 2005.
