RAISING HELLBOY AT THE BOX OFFICE

Son of the Devil Knocks Scooby Doo 2 off the Top
Hellboy, starring Ron Perlman as a sensitive, crime-fighting devil who yearns for Selma Blair, brought in $23.5 million in its debut week to take the box office title. Which means this year both Jesus and Satan have had a hand in top films. The flick, based on a comic book series, bested the debut week for the remake of Walking Tall, starring Dwayne Johnson, better known as The Rock to you wrestling fans. Walking Tall finished in second with $15.3 million.

Also debuting this week were Walt Disney’s animated Home on the Range with $14 million in fourth place and Julia StilesThe Prince and Me with $10 million in fifth place.

The upcoming Easter weekend has bunch of movies debuting, including the historical epic The Alamo, and comedies Ella Enchanted, The Girl Next Door, Johnson Family Vacation and The Whole Ten Yards.
