INFINITY GETS ROBBED

Viacom Vet Rob Barnett is President, Programming, Succeeds Steve Rivers
Rob Barnett has been named Infinity Broadcasting’s President, Programming, it was announced today by Infinity Chairman/CEO Joel Hollander, to whom Barnett will report. Barnett replaces former Programming President Steve Rivers, who has stepped down.

In his new role, Barnett will oversee programming operations at Infinity’s 183 radio stations while leading company initiatives including talent recruitment and development and the integration of Infinity content with emerging technologies.

"Anyone who knows Rob can attest to his creative vision, strategic insight and business acumen working with programmers, talent and industry executives," said Hollander. A Viacom veteran, Barnett joined Infinity in May 2004 as Senior Vice President of Infinity Original Programming. In that position, he developed programs including Street Date, Infinity Registers America and Bill Clinton Connects with America.

Prior to joining Infinity, Barnett was supervising producer for the Discovery Times Channel's "Staffers," a reality series on the 2004 Presidential campaign. In 2003, Barnett supervised production of DVDs and CD soundtracks for PBS's Martin Scorsese Presents The Blues. Prior to that, he held music, production and programming positions at MTV/VH1. He began his career in radio at Boston's WAAF-FM, where he served as on-air personality, Music Director and Program Director.

Rivers will remain an Infinity consultant and special advisor, reporting to Hollander.
