Manson’s victorious return to creepy form will lead Cold’s Year of the Spider (Flip/Geffen), which should come in at over 100k and take the #2 slot.

WEEK IN PREVIEW:
MANSON CREEPS UP ON RETAIL

Ghoul-Rock’s Crown Prince Inspires
Shock and Awe
Raise a glass of blood to Marilyn Manson, whose The Golden Age of Grotesque (Interscope) is set to debut at #1 on sales of about 120k, according to sales reports which, of course, are still being tallied.

Manson’s victorious return to creepy form will lead Cold’s Year of the Spider (Flip/Geffen), which should come in at over 100k and take the #2 slot, followed closely by 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ (Shady/Aftermath/Interscope).

Also poised to make a strong debut on this week’s chart is Third Eye Blind’s Out of the Vein (Elektra), which looks likely to total 60-70k for the week.

The Matrix: Reloaded soundtrack, meanwhile, does not appear to have seen the kind of huge sales increase expected following the movie’s explosive opening. It should come in at about 85-90k for the week.

Tomorrow, it’s all about Elektra’s Staind, with early guesses putting probable first-week sales of 14 Shades of Grey at north of 500k.

Meanwhile, here are the radio tracks likely to score the most adds at your favorite formats this week:

Top 40: Beyonce f/Jay-Z’s "Crazy in Love" (Columbia) should be #1, as Ashanti’s "Rock Wit U" (Murder Inc./IDJ), Thalia’s "I Want You" (Virgin) and Michelle Branch’s "Are You Happy Now" (Maverick) all gear up for great weeks.

Crossover: The aforementioned "Crazy in Love" from Beyonce f/Jay Z should take top honors here as well, followed by Ginuwine’s "In Those Jeans" (Epic), Tyrese’s "Signs of Love Makin’" (J Records), Missy Elliott’s "Back in the Day" (Gold Mind/Elektra) and Ashanti’s "Rock Wit You."

PoMo: Look for the Red Hot Chili Peppers to lead the way with "Dosed" (WB) followed by Mudvayne’s "World So Cold" (Epic) and The Used’s "Blue and Yellow" (Reprise).
