CHRIST LORDS OVER BOX OFFICE

Starsky and Hutch Arrest Second Place
Jesus is more than all right at the movies, as The Passion of the Christ continues to stay at number one at the box office, taking in another $51.4 million over the weekend. The film is expected to be the highest-grossing R-rated movie of all time, thanks to controversy and the fact that there are a few million Christians looking for something to do during Lent.

The week’s biggest opener was Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson’s action comedy remake of Starsky and Hutch which did $29 million and landed at second place. Snoop Dogg has a role as that lovable pimp-snitch Huggy Bear, and that certainly brought the kids out. In third place was Viggo Mortensen’s horse-racing action flick, Hidalgo, which did $19.6 million.
