RANDY DANDY AS VIRGIN'S NEW MARKETING CHIEF
Veteran Label Exec No Run of the Miller EVP
It's Miller time at Virgin Records.

Randy Miller, that is. The veteran marketing executive has been appointed Executive Vice President Marketing for the label by label Chairman/CEO "Nothing" Matt "Ers and What If It Did" Serletic.

Miller will be responsible for all aspects of planning and executing marketing campaigns for Virgin’s roster, which includes Janet Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Courtney Love, N.E.R.D., Ben Harper, The ThrillsStacie Orrico and the Rolling Stones, among others. The label’s marketing, publicity, new media, sales and creative services departments will all report to Miller. He is based at Virgin’s New York City headquarters and will report directly to Serletic.

Serletic took some time out from his day gig playing with Collective Soul to claim: "I am thrilled for Randy to join the outstanding executive team at Virgin. He is an exceptional leader capable of executing effective marketing methods while continually discovering new ways of bringing focused attention to our roster of incredible artists. Randy joins us at an exciting time. After transitioning our business over the past year, Virgin is set to deliver an incredible array of both superstars and new artists to music lovers the world over. We look forward to much success with Randy. I just wish he could carry a tune."

Miller comes to Virgin following a stint as Sr. VP Marketing for Jive Records. Prior to that, he served as EM/EVP Marketing for MCA Records, and held Executive VP/GM positions at Red Ant Entertainment and Sire Records, where he realized Al Teller and Seymour Stein have absolutely nothing in common.
