FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK,
EPIC OFFERS AC/DC
Rollout of Hall of Famers' Catalog Begins Feb. 18 With Special Features, Dedicated Website
Epic’s massive AC/DC rollout begins this month.

The label’s reissue program, which features the band’s catalog, remastered from the original (and recently discovered) two-track masters, will be enclosed in Digipaks and will feature multi-page booklets containing each album's original artwork, along with bonus rare photos and comprehensive liner notes. In addition, each disc will be a ConnecteD release, allowing listeners to access even more exclusive content via the Internet, including videos, music, and information relating to each individual record.

The release schedule starts on Feb. 18 with Back in Black, Live (single-disc version), Highway to Hell, High Voltage, Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap and a special two-CD collectors’ edition of Live.

On April 8, Who Made Who, Let There Be Rock, The Razor's Edge, For Those About to Rock and Powerage hit retail, then If You Want Blood You Got It, Flick of the Switch, Fly on the Wall’74 Jailbreak and Blow Up Your Video are out May 20.

The first six titles in the rollout are available as of Feb. 10 for pre-order at http://www.buyacdc.com  Fans who purchase five CDs will receive a free AC/DC poster. Free shipping will be offered with purchase of two or more CDs.

Each of the 16 CDs in the Epic-reissued AC/DC catalog will enable fans to access exclusive bonus content specific to each individual release at http://www.acdcrocks.com, including rare audio and video footage, extended liner notes, photos and historically accurate memorabilia and tour dates. SME’s ConnecteD technology transforms the CD into a key that, when placed in the computer's CD-ROM drive, enables fans to unlock these exclusives. The label also reportedly has plans for an Angus Young clothing line of schoolboy shorts and matching knee-socks.

AC/DC was formed in Australia in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. Over a career spanning four decades, the group has sold more than 140 million records throughout the world.  Back in Black has sold an astounding 41 million copies alone worldwide and ranks sixth in all-time sales. In recognition for their momentous achievements, the band will be inducted into and also perform at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 10. Sony signed the group late last year to a huge new deal, which included the band’s entire catalog.
