The Neil Bogart Memorial Fund, which provides grants to research and treat childhood cancer, leukemia and AIDS, will hold its annual “Tour for a Cure” fundraiser October 23 at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, where it will hand out its 2003 Children’s Choice Awards.
This year’s recipients will be Queen Latifah, Anschutz Entertainment Group President/CEO Tim Leiweke and Blue Note Records’ Bruce Lundvall.
The show is slated to be produced by Dick Clark Productions’ Larry Klein.
“We are thrilled to be honoring such incredible individuals this year with our Children's Choice Award,” said NBMF Board President Rick Shoemaker. “Each year we recognize outstanding industry role models, and this time is no different. I know that everyone will leave the Kodak Theatre on October 23 with a sense of understanding why we chose these three honorees."
Past Children’s Choice recipients include Hilary Rosen, Britney Spears, Barbra Streisand, Whoopi Goldberg, Sherry Lansing, Gary Gersh, David Foster, Mike Shalett, and Russ Solomon.
The Neil Bogart Memorial Fund, part of the T.J. Martell Foundation, has raised over $175 million over the last 27 years.
