Premiere Radio Networks’ airplay monitoring service, which tracks airplay at more than 1,100 radio stations in the Top 140 U.S. markets, has added Christian, Smooth Jazz and Latin outlets to its 15 current radio formats (Mainstream AC, Hot AC, Pop, Rhythmic, Mainstream Rock, Adult Rock, Active Rock, Modern Rock, Classic Rock, Urban, Urban AC, Traditional Oldies, Jammin’ Oldies, Country and Radio Disney).
That will bring the total of radio stations monitored by Mediabase to more than 1,400, which includes a first-time expansion beyond U.S. borders into Canada.
Said Mediabase President "I’d Rather Be" Rich Meyer: "Mediabase is excited to meet the demands of its customers by entering into these new marketplaces and formats. As with every format we monitor, the intense focus will be on the quality of the data. Accuracy, reliability and data integrity have always been the hallmarks of this company. After that, it’s about intelligent presentation of data, analyses and dissemination. And now, of course, it’ll be about tracking every Gordon Lightfoot song played north of the border, eh?"
