Elizabeth "Our Miss" Brooks has been named Sr. VP Business Development for BuyMusic.com, the world’s largest legal music download store for PC users, by CEO/Founder "Dred" Scott Blum.Brooks was most recently VP Creative for BMG Music Publishing and, before that, VP Marketing for Napster.Commenting on the appointment, Blum said: "Elizabeth is an extremely valuable asset to the BuyMusic team. Her creative career in the music industry and her recent positions at BMG and Napster have made her an expert in digital music services. We look forward to the new strategic and creative insights Liz will bring to BuyMusic, not to mention Shawn Fanning’s little black book of programming."Since her arrival, Brooks has set up several exclusive content deals, including one for John Mayer’s new album. Similar deals are pending.
