WEEK IN PREVIEW: TOP FIVE THROWDOWN

Post-Mothers’ Day Chart Features Isley Bros. vs. Norah, Jack Johnson vs. Cher
With Mothers’ Day weekend behind us, it’s time to dispense with all the mom-mush and get back to what really matters in this life: Half-baked retail projections. Yessssss!

As the full-week sales reports are tallied, it looks like both Norah Jones and Cher were the big Moms’ Day winners. Jones’ still-hot debut album, Come Away with Me (Blue Note), looks like it has gotten enough of a bump to do battle with the Isley Brothers’ new arrival, Body Kiss (DreamWorks). Both appear to be headed for totals of about 130k, with our esteemed retail prognosticators giving Jones the edge at this point.

Also seeing a significant "lift" from the big weekend is Cher’s Very Best of Cher (WSM), which is now locking horns with Jack Johnson’s just-released On and On (Universal) for #3, with sales projected at around 120k for each.

Meanwhile, on your radio dial, here are the tracks that will likely earn the most adds at your favorite formats this week:

Top 40: Train’s "Calling All Angels" (Columbia) should come out ahead, with last week’s #1 on early action, Black Eyed Peas’ "Where Is the Love" (Interscope), just behind.

Crossover: Look for Ludacris’ "Act a Fool" (Def Jam South/IDJ) to best Lumidee’s "Never Leave You" (Universal) and Clipse’ "Hot Damn" (Arista). Vivian Green’s "Fanatic" (Columbia) should also feel the love.

PoMo: It’s all about Good Charlotte’s "The Young & The Hopeless" (Epic).
