ONE-DAY SALES: DIRTY-DIRTY DEBUTS ON TAP

Three From Down South Makin’ Moves, but Won’t Mess with The Boss
If you like your gangsta rap heavy and southern fried, this is your week.

According to early reports from national accounts, both the legendary Scarface and Trick Daddy are on track to sell over 100k and could possibly reach 150k each, with Scarface ahead by a nose at this point.

That will put Scarface’s The Fix (Def Jam South/IDJ) and Trick Daddy’s Thug Holiday (Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic) in next week’s Top 10, but don’t worry about comeback-king Bruce. His major sales momentum (532k this week!) will keep him at #1 for at least another go-round.

Meanwhile, another down-south rapper is having a solid week as well: Loud/Columbia’s Project Pat appears likely to sell about 75k copies of his new album, Layin Da Smack Down.

Got your gold teeth in? Good. Now warm up the Diesel, because the XXX soundtrack is in the street as well, and with the movie starring a latter-day Arnold named Vin opening this weekend, it could blow up like one of the picture’s many multi-million-dollar stunts; but at this point it’s anybody’s guess how the album will sell.

Anybody’s guess? Isn’t that how we always do this? Thank you.
