Bruce, of course, will reign for another week, with retail pundits looking for a second-week showing in the 200k-plus range.

WEEK IN PREVIEW: SOUTHERN DEBUTANTS, JIMMY EATS POP

A Pair of Southern Rappers Hit the Chart as Emocore Hits Top 40
Is it still Bruce’s world? You bet. But following the week of The Rising Bossing everyone around, here comes some more good old American music to shake up the chart.

Yep, we’re talking thug rap from the dirty south, playa. And you can bet Trick Daddy’s Thug Holiday (Slip-N-Slide/Atlantic) and Scarface’s The Fix (Def Jam South/IDJ) will be blazin’ in this week’s Top 10 with sales approaching 150k for Scarface, with the Daddy trailing that number. Both were beneficiaries of Best Buy’s $9.99 pricing.

Bruce, of course, will reign for another week, with retail pundits looking for a second-week showing in the 200k-plus range. The XXX soundtrack, meanwhile, received a significant sales boost in the wake of the movie’s strong opening and should come in at around 70k. Also in the picture Loud/Columbia’s Project Pat, which should come in at around 60k.

In the world of Pop radio, it’s time to turn up the guitars and whine about stuff, as Jimmy Eat World brings the Emo sound to the mainstream listener. "Sweetness" (DreamWorks) is expected to vie for the most adds at Top 40, along with Uncle Kracker’s "In a Little While" (Lava) and the Dave Matthews Band’s "Where Are You Going?" (RCA), which continues to jam after last week’s add date.

At Crossover, it’s all about Cam’ron’s "Hey Ma" (Roc-a-Fella/IDJ), which also is already on many stations, but will rake in the rest this week. Also look for Skillz’ "Crew Deep" (MCA) to make a good showing, as cleanup on Xzibit (Columbia), Bone Thugs-in-Harmony (Epic) and Lyric (J) continues.

At PoMo, look for Good Charlotte’s "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" (Epic) to be most added, with Our Lady Peace’s "Innocent" (Columbia) right behind, as Stone Sour’s "Bother" (Roadrunner/IDJ) gets a jump on next week’s official add date.
