ZIEMAN NAMED GM, RAZOR & TIE
Industry Exec to Work New Albums by Dar Williams, E-Town Concrete, Dakota Horvath, Marty Lloyd
Josh Zieman "Marcus" has been named General Manager for Razor & Tie Entertainment, it was announced by Razor & Tie Co-Owners Craig Balsam and Cliff Chenfeld.

Zieman comes to Razor & Tie from Columbia, where he served as VP of Product Marketing for four years.

In his new post at Razor & Tie, Zieman will be busy working with new albums from Dar Williams, E-Town Concrete, Dakota Horvath and Marty Lloyd, all scheduled for a first quarter 2003 release.

Josh is a pro who loves music, who knows how to promote and market in a creative way and who we expect will lead Razor & Tie to great success."

Zieman began his music industry career at Side One Marketing/Management in the early ‘80s, where he provided on-site artist and tour management for such clients as Modern English, Steve Earle and Rosanne Cash.

In the late ’80s he moved on to TVT, where he served as National Sales Representative. Zieman left TVT in 1988 for EMI, where he served as Director of Marketing & Video Promotion. While at EMI, Zieman developed marketing strategies for acts, supervised and built a Video Promotion Department, and managed product releases for company artists such as David Bowie, Richard Marx, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Roxette.

In 1991 Zieman left EMI for Mercury Records Group where he served as VP of Product Marketing until 1998. During his tenure at Mercury, Zieman managed worldwide product marketing strategy for album launch, media exposure and sales for artists that included Bon Jovi, Def Leppard, Andrea Bocelli, the Cardigans and the Mighty Mighty Bosstones. In 1998 Zieman joined Columbia as VP of Product Marketing, where he was pivotal in designing and implementing marketing strategies for album launches for artists such as Dixie Chicks, Savage Garden, Jessica Simpson and Charlotte Church.
