NEWSFLASH: WE SUCK!!!

MCA’s in the Marketshare Top 10, Dammit!
As hard as it is to believe, an actual misstatement of fact occurred on this site last week. Yes, we have reaffirmed our suckage once again: In our attempt to relay important year-to-date marketshare information in our July 31 story, we instead relayed at least one marketshare lie:

MCA Records, as it happens, was then and is now #10 in year-to-date marketshare. Indeed, thanks to albums including Mary J. Blige’s No More Drama, Avant’s Ecstasy and Keke Wyatt’s Soul Sista, the label stands tall in the Top 10.

And we stand corrected. Actually, we whimper on our knees corrected. Thank you.
