RCA Set to Sweep Up After Big #1 Debut for Busted Stuff
Noodle-dancers rejoice: Dave Matthews and his Band of  renown are back with a new album, and while an album is no substitute for tripping your head off at a 15-hour concert festival and getting a third-degree sunburn only a mother could love, it is selling strongly enough to reaffirm the fact that DMB fans love their DMB records.

Just how deep is this love, you ask?

According to early reports from national accounts, Busted Stuff (RCA) is on track to sell upwards of 600k units this week, so we’re gonna just go ahead and crawl out on a limb and predict that it’ll debut at #1 on next week’s Top 50 Albums chart, mmmkay?

Surprise. DMB’s last effort, 2001’s Everyday, logged a 730k first week and has sold some 3.2 million in the U.S. And let us not forget: Best Buy yesterday again rolled out its new "$9.99 Tuesday" pricing for Busted Stuff, which no doubt boosted refrigerator sales nationwide.

Meanwhile, this week’s chart-topper, Nelly’s powerful Nellyville, is enjoying its third and last week at #1 on the strength of about 327k units sold. Is it hot in herre, or is it just him?

Also hitting the streets yesterday was Capitol buzz band The Vines, whose Highly Evolved appears to be on its way to selling a respectable 50k as the Australian rockers continue to break.

See you at Burning Man, dude.
