NO NAME FOR ELEKTRA

WMG Label Hooks Up With Richards’ Company
Elektra Entertainment has entered into an agreement with Los Angeles-based No Name Music, the management company founded by Steve Richards.

The new No Name/Elektra venture will facilitate the signing of new artists on a joint basis under the No Name Music umbrella.

Richards’ No Name is best known for guiding the careers of such hard rock groups as Slipknot and Mudvayne, among others.

"We're excited about transforming our A&R expertise and artist development know-how into a label-centric environment," said Richards. "Elektra's track record in the rock world speaks for itself. Our goal is to sign artists with a vision and ignite rock's next generation of genre-defying bands."

Josh Deutsch, Executive VP, Elektra, added: "No Name is one of the most respected rock brands in the business. Steve Richards and the No Name staff have great creative instincts and a proven ability to discover and develop new and cutting edge artists."
