File-sharing service Morpheus topped the Google year-end Top 10 list of most searched-for Music Services, followed by Napster, Gnutella, Kazaa, Audiogalaxy, Imesh, Limewire, Bearshare, Aimster and MP3Pro.

Morpheus also was #2 on the Lycos weekly Top 50 Most Popular User Searches for the week ending Jan. 6, behind the Japanese anime TV show Dragonball Z and ahead of Lord of the Rings, New Year, Britney Spears, Final Fantasy, the NFL, Harry Potter, Pamela Anderson and Playstation 2. Bubbling under is the IRS (#14), Taxes (#15) and mathematician John Nash, who outnumbered the total search requests for both the biopic A Beautiful Mind and its star Russell Crowe combined. Windows XP, Xbox, Playstation 2 and Gamecube topped the list of Top 10 New Products, while Nokia, Sony, BMW, Palm, Adobe, Dell, Oracle, Ferrari, Honda and Canon made up the Top 10 Brands.
