Companies Pact to Provide "Content" to "Devices" Used by "People" or Something

Radio Free Virgin announced today it has pacted with Mediabolic. According to the terms of the strategic agreement, Radio Free Virgin will provide streaming audio content from its digital programming to Mediabolic-powered entertainment devices.

"We are very excited about working with Radio Free Virgin to bring high-quality digital radio content to our partners," said Mediabolic VP of Marketing Song Huang. "A compelling networked digital entertainment product requires a hardware and software platform, manufacturing and distribution, and rich media selections. Radio Free Virgin is a key component of the rich media solution."

You know, if you let a sauce simmer long enough, you get a delicious, rich media solution.

Mediabolic's software includes media applications across digital music, photos, and videos, in a stand-alone or fully networked environment across PCs, TVs, and other access devices. We’ll get back with you when we finally figure out just what that might mean. While we’re stewing over that, here’s another techy bit we don’t quite understand: Mediabolic's manufacturing customers can choose from a variety of content offerings when they ship products to the market based on Mediabolic One Digital Convergence platform.

Sounds cool, doesn’t it?

As near as we can tell, it has something to do with taking media (rich or otherwise) and crossing it over from PCs to home entertainment systems. This agreement will, apparently, bring Radio Free Virgin content to home entertainment systems via Mediabolic’s sophisticated thingamajigs. Or maybe it does something completely different. Who can really say?

"The Mediabolic solution presents the ideal user experience to consumers, and we are excited about integrating our content into Mediabolic's platform—whatever that might mean."
