AOL Music will launch its week-long "BroadBAND Rocks" program on Friday, featuring content from upcoming and recently released music DVDs.
The on-demand program is available exclusively for AOL broadband customers, and can be accessed through AOL Keyword: Music. Users will also be able to purchase the featured DVDs through direct links to CDNow.
"BroadBAND Rocks" will offer previews of the entirety of AC/DC’s Stiff Upper Lip Live, recorded in Munich, Germany, home of the double entendre, which streets 12/4, and David Gray’s 90-minute Live at the Point, recorded in Dublin and released 12/11. AOL Music cautions that if too many users in one household are online, the content from the two will mesh, causing viewers to see Gray performing songs such as "She Climbed My White Ladder" and "Babylon My Lap."
The program will also offer O-Town’s hour-long Live From New York, recorded in New Guinea. Linkin Park’s Frat Party at the Pankake Festival will also be featured, which will include music videos and clips of the band performing kegstands at IHOP. We’re not making that last part up.
