A SIMPLE WEEKEND PLAN

Spend Time With Your Friends & Family
We at HITS sincerely hope all your friends and family are safe and accounted for. Our thoughts are with all of those directly affected by this tragedy—which, in some ways, really means all of us. As someone at the office said yesterday, "Everyone is just one degree of separation from this." That may be the greatest distance someone can be from this tragedy. The luckiest of us are one degree away, but even that isn’t far enough to come away unscathed. Normally, in this space we would offer up a list of suggestions for ways to spend your time this weekend. This weekend, however, we only have one suggestion: spend some time with family and friends. Turn off the TV and the radio, unplug yourself from the nonstop coverage of tragedy for a few minutes and spend time with the people in your life that matter to you. We may not find answers there, but we’ll certainly find comfort and solace.
