ONE-DAY SALES: BUBBALICIOUS

Redneck Rapper Sparxxx Four-Way Race For #1 With Ja Rule, Enya Jay-Z
There's nothing "Ugly" about first-day sales for Beat Club/Interscope hee-haw hip-hopper Bubba Sparxxx's debut album.

Setting up a four-way fight for the #1 album next week, Dark Days, Bright Nights, the first release on rap producer/performer Timbaland's new imprint, looks set to sell more than 150k its first week on the streets, based on retail reports from around the country. The other factors in the mix are how much the chart-topping Ja Rule Murder Inc./IDJ album, Pain Is Love, loses from this week's sales total of 400k, plus the solidly growing Enya and a still-strong Jay-Z.

Other Top 50 debuts could include classical ingenue Charlotte Church's new Columbia Records effort, Enchantment, which appears headed over 60k, and veteran R&B band the O'Jays' latest MCA effort, For the Love, which seems on track for 30k. RCA Records buzz band The Strokes' critically acclaimed Is This It looks to be in the 15k neighborhood.
