Records streeting on 10/30 include Epic's Michael Jackson, Virgin's Lenny Kravitz, Jive's Backstreet Boys (Greatest Hits), So So Def/Columbia's Jermaine Dupri, HM/Loud/Columbia's Three 6 Mafia, Interscope's Enrique Iglesias and Christmas albums from Columbia's Barbra Streisand and Destiny's Child.
WEEK IN PREVIEW: DMX MARKS
THE SPOT
Rapper to Bow at #1, Incubus, DMB Live Set Happening and Scary Tuesday on the Way
He may be a film star, but DMX the recording artist hasn't lost a step.

This week, the rapper's Def Jam/IDJ project Great Depression is a lock to debut in the top spot of the HITS' Top 50 Albums chart. And it won't even be close.

That said, DMX isn't the only new action on this week's Top 50. Check out Immortal/Epic's Incubus, which is on its way to a #2 debut. Also look for a stellar Top 10 debut for the Dave Matthews Band's Live In Chicago. That's right, a "live" album will debut in the Top Ten.

Of course, that's what's charting Tuesday (10/30). What's streeting that day is a story unto itself. Check out Epic's Michael Jackson, Virgin's Lenny Kravitz, Jive's Backstreet Boys (Greatest Hits), So So Def/Columbia's Jermaine Dupri, HM/Loud/Columbia's Three 6 Mafia, Interscope's Enrique Iglesias and Christmas albums from Columbia's Barbra Streisand and Destiny's Child.

Whoa.

Meanwhile, the Top 40 guardians of this country's cultural flame are busy this week. Look for the most fire around Arista's Usher as "U Got It Bad" will feel massive Top 40 love. Also look for a strong opening week for J's LFO, whose "Life Is Good" is proving topical and popular with Top 40 Einsteins. Meanwhile, as Epic's Ginuwine has a good close-out week, expect early adds to trickle in for Interscope's No Doubt and Wind Up's Creed as PDs can't help adding these future smashes before the official impact date.

In other news, U.S. government officials say this whole Afghanistan thing may take a bit longer than originally expected. "Nothing to be alarmed at," said the official as he moved his entire family into a specially equipped bomb shelter one mile below his suburban Washington D.C. home. You can go back to caring about what's #1 now.
