Mick Jagger, Sting, Lenny Kravitz, Creed, Destiny's Child and No Doubt are among the biggies scheduled to perform at the "My VH1 Music Awards ༽," which will be telecast Dec. 2 at 9 p.m. ET from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The music channel asserts that "My VH1," now in its second year, is the first fully interactive awards show.
VH1 viewers, who suggested the categories and picked the nominees in each, will also select the winners by casting their votes in each category on VH1.com. The voting will continue to be tallied until each award is announced on the air.
Among the fan-picked finalists, U2 and the Dave Matthews Band lead the pack of nominations with six apiece. Gwen Stefani snagged five noms, followed by Alicia Keys and Staind, with four each. Bon Jovi, Train, Moby and the Marmaladies were each nominated for three awards.
Along with the inevitable "Favorite Male," "Favorite Female" and "Favorite Group," the categories include "Must-Have Album," "Damn, I Wish I Wrote That," "Your Song Kicked Ass But Was Played Too Damn Much" and "Navel Academy" (for best bellybutton appearance), among others.
