WHITNEY, BOBBY GET SET UP…SORT OF

Woman Wrongfully Accuses Brown Of Adultery, Gets A Free Beer
It seems like forever since our favorite celebrity couple has graced this site. But they’re back, and we’re happy to say, they’re still newsworthy.

The ever-troubled couple of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown were the victims of a botched "set-up" by a woman in Florida on Monday (6/4), who accused Brown of having an affair, according to the New York Post.

While vacationing at a Williams Island condo, Houston, Brown and their daughter, Bobbi Kristina, visited a friend at the Turnberry Hotel & Resort in Aventura, where they spent most of the day by the pool. While Houston and Bobbi Kristina waited for Brown in a car, a blonde woman from the club tapped on the car window and claimed that Brown was having an affair with one of the woman’s friends.

A calm Houston led the woman to a table at the poolside bar, in order to discuss the matter with Brown, but when he approached, the previously chatty woman became agitated. "I am just nervous because I am talking to very important people," she reportedly said. "You’re both much taller than you look in the National Enquirer!"

The woman then began crying, put her face on the table, covered her head with her hands, and refused to sit up. Brown reassured his wife that the woman was "crazy" before she returned to the car. And who would know more about that than Bobby Brown?

Witnesses say Brown then asked the woman, "What are you talking about? Why won’t you show your face?" When she wouldn’t answer, Brown dumped a bottle of beer over her head before he left. "She’s just lucky it wasn’t Juvenile she was messing with," one onlooker said. "He might have cracked her one with a champagne bottle."

Houston’s publicist, Nancy Seltzer, said the situation was "clearly a set-up," although she refrained from explaining exactly what was being set up.

"Whitney was at all times very calm and just wanted to discuss this in front of her husband," said Houston's lawyer, Martin Singer. "I repeat: Whitney was at all times very calm."

"Whitney acted better than anyone else [in the same situation] would act, which should be noted," Seltzer added. "She didn’t play a make-believe keyboard or hop a flight out of town or anything."

According to Seltzer and Singer, the woman is being investigated by the resort, and her membership is under review, because being banned from the club is "totally worse than jail."
