It will be another big week at retail with Wind-up's Creed, which could be the first rock band to see first-week sales of 1 million or more.

WEEK IN PREVIEW: NOT A TURKEY AMONG 'EM!

Garth, Zombie, Shakira, Creed, Offspring All Giving Thanks
As part of our non-stop coverage into the issues that affect you the most, we've discovered two things: it's a short work-week, and the average American will consume 4,000 calories on Thursday, twice as many as a typical day.

Additionally, the best-selling solo artist of all time, Capitol Nashville's Garth Brooks, will debut at the top of the album chart with sales in the 450-500k range. The Brooks record is underperforming, despite the first of three consecutive CBS concert specials last Wednesday.

Brooks will be joined in the Top 10 by this week's big winner, Epic's Shakira, who looks to land in the 200k range, followed by Geffen's Rob Zombie, headed for 175k. Both the greatest-hits set from Warner Bros.' Madonna and the new record from Atlantic's Jewel trended up, with better-than-expected weekends.

Holding up well are Epic's Michael Jackson, benefiting from his highly rated CBS anniversary special, and Interscope's Enrique Iglesias, benefiting from being so hunkalicious and having a hit song.

It will be another big week at retail for Wind-up's Creed, which could be the first rock band to see first-week sales of 1 million or more. Also hitting shelves are Atlantic's Kid Rock, Virgin's "Now Vol. 8," and Arista's Pink.

Our turkeys at radio tell us that J's Alicia Keys and Interscope's R. Kelly and will be neck-and-neck at Top 40, with MCA's Eagle Eye Cherry and Aerosmith garnering sweet potatoes.

The gravy lumps at PoMo and Active Rock say this week is all about "Defy You," The Offspring's track from the soundtrack to the upcoming MTV Films flick Orange County, while the mashed potatoes at Crossover say this week looks like extra stuffing for Arista's OutKast and Columbia's Jermaine Dupri. Mmm, stuffing.
