PLAYJ MAKES PLAY FOR J

, the Internet music marketing arm of EverAd, today announced that it has entered an agreement with J Records to help promote the label's artists. Sources close to the deal say there will be a time-share agreement between the parties for use of the letter "J." PlayJ launches the relationship by throwing support to pop band O-Town and newcomer Olivia's first single, "Bizounce." J's EVP Tom Corson called PlayJ a "great fit" and praised its data-mining resources. Said EverAd CEO Angela Pumo, "With our ever-growing user base--plus up-selling and 'click and buy' programs--we provide a viable, targeted marketing and distribution solution for labels in today's tumultuous digital music environment as well as a prolific music source for users. But this deal obliges me to say that Clive invented our technology."

LIQUID ROCK
Liquid Audio, Inc. today announced that Hard Rock International has chosen the company to provide digital downloads for its website. Under the new agreement, visitors of hardrock.com will be able to download music and bad hamburgers from Liquid Audio's collection of over 150,000 music tracks. In return, Liquid Audio will receive free Hard Rock T-shirts for its German customers.

Motown Records today announced that it has relaunched its website. The new site, which touts better graphics and more content, is divided into two sections: Classic Motown's historical look into the company's past and Motown Now's information on current artists. The "Past" section will include vintage photographs from Berry Gordy. Insiders claim that the news had a direct effect on today's boost in the stock market, especially those pics of Diana Ross without her wig.

ordered their employees to ban clocks for a day, as a part of an experiment to learn whether or not people work better without knowing the time. The act is rumored to be a public relations tactic to promote the company's new flat rate internet service. AOL spokesmen wanted to comment on the allegations, but missed the deadline for submitting a press release.
