DAVE MATTHEWS SHOUTS "MINE, ALL MINE!"

Band Takes Home Three Trophies at Second Annual My VH1 Music Awards
The Dave Matthews Band made the biggest splash at the My VH1 Music Awards Sunday, taking home three awards.

The band snagged the trophies for My Favorite Group, Must Have Album for Everyday and Damn I Wish I Wrote That! (Song of the Year) for "The Space Between." The group was also honored, for the second year running, with a Coolest Fan Website win for nancies.org.

Going into the broadcast, DMB was tied for most nominations with Irish rockers U2, with the bands competing head-to-head in six categories. But the "greatest rock and roll band in the world" couldn't elevate its status beyond nominee and was shut out six times.

All the evening's winners, as well as the categories and nominations that spawned them, were determined by fan votes cast on VH1.com. Voting on the categories began in September, while the final polls remained open until the moment the winners were announced.

Other multiple winners included the video for "Lady Marmalade" featuring Christina Aguilera, Lil' Kim, Mya & Pink, which fans bestowed with both the My Favorite Video honor and Is It Hot in Here or Is It Just My Video?

Sensitive English band Coldplay also walked away with a pair of trophies, winning the Best Kept Secret and Big in Japan (International) awards.

Lenny Kravitz picked up My Favorite Male Artist honors, while No Doubt's Gwen Stefani was voted My Favorite Female Artist. Christopher Walken was deemed the Best Actor in a Video for his soft-soled role in Fatboy Slim's "Weapon of Choice," while Bon Jovi won for Hottest Live Show.

The show was broadcast on VH1 from Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium and was hosted by Will & Grace Emmy-winner Eric McCormack.

Live performances included Jon Bon Jovi, who with bandmate Richie Sambora and two cellists, opened the show honoring George Harrison with an acoustic rendition of "Here Comes the Sun."

Mary J. Blige sang a medley of "Family Affair" and "No More Drama" from her latest album, No More Drama, before joining Sting for his "(If You Love Somebody) Set Them Free." And after Kravitz offered up his new single "Dig In," he and his band played backup to Mick Jagger on the singer's "God Gave Me Everything" from his new solo album, Goddess in the Doorway.

Other performers included Creed ("My Sacrifice"), No Doubt ("Hey Baby"), Jewel ("Standing Still") and Nelly Furtado ("Turn Off the Light").
