Former Epic VP Makes The Move To Burbank, Is Now That Much Closer To Krispy Kreme
Former Sony Music executive James "Beyond the Shadow of a" Dowdall has been named Senior VP of A&R at Warner Bros. Records.
Dowdall, most recently VP of A&R at Epic Records, will report to David "& Goliath" Kahne, Executive Senior VP at Warner Bros. Records Inc.
"James is a quintessential A&R executive—in touch with the streets, tuned to the market and willing to take risks based on a proven instinct for spotting real talent," Kahne said. "It's with real pride and pleasure that I join with the rest of the company in welcoming him to Warner Bros. Records. Now we'll finally have someone on staff who knows the difference between light starch and no starch."
