MP3.COM UPS VP OIEN TO COO

Oien Prepares To Become Household Name Via Daily Onslaught Of MP3.com Press Releases
MP3.com has named Vice President of Operations Derrick R. Oien as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

In his new role, Oien will oversee MP3.com's daily operations and increase efficiencies within the company. Oien will report to MP3.com President Robin Richards.

"As vice president of operations, Derrick has consistently demonstrated a tremendous grasp of all things essential to MP3.com's success," said Richards. "He's a dynamic individual and has demonstrated over the last year a track record of providing excellent internal leadership. As a bonus, he has more vowels in his last name than I do, and only half as many letters!"

Oien had been with MP3.com since July 1999. He has also held positions with Sony Picture Studios and Universal Music Group.
