Rappers Snoop Dogg, Ice-T and Ja Rule will star in "Crime Partners," a movie based on the novel by Donald Goines that begins shooting in New York later this month. The film is expected to be released in 2001, Launch reports. "Actually, we don't like to use the words ‘begin shooting' when it comes to this cast," a source close to the film offered. "We prefer ‘begins filming' or ‘starts rolling.'"

HIS DIALOG WILL HAVE TO BE SUBTITLED
Reformed heavy metal legend Ozzy Osbourne, who co-stars in the upcoming Adam Sandler vehicle "Little Nicky," says he has given up his devilish ways. "I don't drink or get stoned anymore," Osbourne told Movieline magazine. "I like to stay home and play with my dogs and my kids. And by ‘play with my dogs and my kids,' I certainly don't mean bathing them in animal blood and sacrificing them ritualistically." Osbourne reportedly grinned and rocked back on his heels. "I don't mean that at all."

IT'S SURE TO BE A HIT
If you thought husband-wife teams Steve and Eydie and Faith and Tim were exciting, you surely need to see Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown in concert. Thetabloid-friendly duo is scheduled to join forces Nov. 10 for a high-profile show at the Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas, reported Pollstar. The concert, with tickets priced at $100-$300 each, will feature individual performances by Houston and Brown as well as several duets. Each concert will end with Hawaiian airport authorities chasing the duo off-stage.

Don Henley
is being sued by a fan who claims the rocker belted her on the forehead with a maraca during one of his concerts. Mary Ann Haley, who describes herself as a longtime Henley fan, says the former Eagles member hit her with the rattling instrument after she stood to take a flash photograph during his Oct. 4 concert in North Little Rock. The lawsuit seeks unspecified compensatory and punitive damages. Said one local authority, "I haven't seen a more pathetic band-related assault since the keyboardist for Pablo Cruise was sued for whipping someone with his scarf."

SEE, THERE IS A BENEFIT TO THE SAG STRIKE
Teeny-poppers NSYNC have been slated to star in "Grease 3," Launch reports. Group member Lance Bass said the only holdup was the Screen Actors Guild strike. "Everything just got put on hold because of the SAG strike," Bass told reporters. "Which is just very bad timing for us." Bass said the group would start filming as soon as the strike was over. Said one Hollywood insider, "We can only hope the movie does for their acting careers what "Grease 2" did for the career of Adrian Zmed.
