WMG SIGNS STRICTLY RHYTHM DEAL

Joint Venture With Independent Label Isn’t Limited To Back-Seat Rhythm
Warner Music Group is expanding its dance music offerings by inking a 50-50 long-term worldwide joint-venture deal with independent label Strictly Rhythm Records.

Under the agreement, Strictly Rhythm's releases will continue to be distributed by WMG's independent U.S. distribution arm, Alternative Distribution Alliance. In addition, Warner Music International will step in to distribute offerings outside of the United States.

Strictly Rhythm's staff will remain intact and they will work closely with WMG's London-Sire Records.

"I'm pleased to welcome Mark and his team into the Warner Music family, and I'm confident we will benefit from their unique combination of entrepreneurial wisdom and creative savvy," WMG's London-Sire Records President Peter Koepke said. "With this agreement, we will significantly increase our presence in the dance music arena."
