Tuesday sees a massive release date, highlighted by hip-hoppers Jay-Z and Outkast fighting for the top spot and rockers U2 and Godsmack going at it for one of the Top Five slots.

THE WEEK IN PREVIEW

Kravitz, "Charlie’s Angels" ST, Linkin Park Storm Retail, Shaggy’s "Hot"
With the help of our good friend Dionne Warwick at the Psychic Friends Network, here's a look at the upcoming week in music.

Limp Bizkit's "Chocolate" (Flip/Interscope) will take the top spot of the HITS Top 50 Album chart for the second consecutive week, though sales will be off by a little more than 50% from its record-breaking first week of more than one million. The real surprise is Lenny Kravitz's "Greatest Hits" (Virgin), which is looking at an opening week of 165k, while the "Charlie's Angels" soundtrack on Columbia/CRG (thanks to Destiny's Child's hit single, "Independent Women") and Warner Bros.' new rock act Linkin Park—showing a pattern very similar to DreamWorks' Platinum-selling Papa Roach—will both come in with between 50-60k in first-week sales.

Former Grammy Award winner and reggae legend Shaggy's "Hot Shot" album on MCA, which was released back in August, is re-igniting on the charts, thanks to the hit crossover single, "It Wasn't Me." This week, it climbs from #50 into the Top 20, with robust sales led by Trans World and Musicland.

In radioland, Everclear has two tracks which will be Most Added at their respective formats. "AM Radio," the second single from "Songs From An American Movie Vol. 1," will be Most Added at Pop, while "When It All Goes Wrong Again," the first single from their new disc, "Songs From An American Movie Vol. 2," will be Most Added at PoMo. The new Britney Spears track, "Stronger," will also have a big add week.

Tuesday sees a massive release date, highlighted by hip-hoppers Jay-Z and Outkast fighting for the top spot and rockers U2 and Godsmack going at it for one of the Top Five slots. Also on tap: Insane Clown Posse, P.J. Harvey, Slayer, Dwight Yoakam and Randy Travis.

Now if you'll excuse us, we have to change into our Timothy White Halloween costume.
