SUNDANCING IN THE STREETS

Groupies Will Have A Hard Time Keeping Warm In Hot Pants & Fishnets
Some people head to Park City, UT, for the snow. Others go to catch a new movie or two. But those who are truly hip are flocking to this year's Sundance Film Festival for the music.

Semisonic, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Uberzone will perform at "Sounds for Visual Thinkers," an event sponsored by Warner/Chappell Music, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Online. The show, which will take place January 24 at Harry O's, will also feature a "retroactive playback" of Radiohead, which will include material from the upcoming record.

Semisonic is gearing up for the release of its third album, "All About Chemistry," which is due out March 6 on MCA. San Francisco-based BRMC was discovered by WCM creative exec Kenny MacPherson, who groomed the band before Tony Berg signed them to Virgin Records. The band's debut album will come out in late spring.

MacPherson, who inked Radiohead, BRMC and Uberzone to WCM (John Tita signed Semisonic to the pubbery), was primarily responsible for putting the show together. The shindig will be webcast live on entertaindom.com.

For music fans who can't get into the Sundance Festival, all the bars in Utah have the Osmonds on their jukeboxes.
