The U.S. Copyright Office has convened an arbitration to determine terms of a license between the RIAA and companies that have not made deals on their own.
The always-quotable RIAA President/CEO Hilary Rosen paused from her victory dance after beating MP3.com just long enough to say, "Our agreement with Yahoo confirms that music on the Internet will thrive when parties work together. We commend Yahoo for blazing a trail in the marketplace and demonstrating its commitment to the artists who create music. Plus, they know our lawyers can kick anybody's ass!"
