CREED DOMINATES MY VH1
MUSIC AWARDS

Nine-Time Nominees Take Home Four Trophies; Faith Hill Grabs Three
Rockers Creed, who lead all nominees with nine mentions, took home four awards at the inaugural My VH1 Music Awards Thursday night (11/30) at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.

In what was essentially an online popularity contest, Creed grabbed awards for Song Of The Year ("Higher"), Group Of The Year, Welcome To The Big Time! and the 2 For 2 award.

Faith Hill nabbed three trophies for Woman Of The Year, Sexxxiest Video ("Breathe") and You Want Fries With That Album? for her endorsement work with Pepsi.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Metallica and Santana were next in line with two awards each. In fact, Santana's song "Smooth"—perhaps you've heard it?—took home the Your Song Kicked Ass But Way Played Too Damn Much award.

"Just beating Creed at least once or twice was good enough for us," said Chili Peppers singer Anthony Kiedis.

Performers at the show included U2, Bon Jovi (also a winner), the Chili Peppers, No Doubt, Creed, Christina Aguilera and Metallica.

Carlos Santana won the Man Of The Year award.
