COME OUT AND PLAY A TRIVIA GAME
Think you're going to make an easy million bucks off The Offspring? Well, think again, punk. The SoCal quartet has thrown a monkey wrench into its million-dollar giveaway. Fans who downloaded "Original Prankster," the first single from the band's "Conspiracy of One" CD (Columbia) off the band's Web site, were entered in a drawing. Now, the band has started picking finalists to appear on MTV's "Total Request Live" on the album's Nov. 14 release date. The finalists will then compete in a three-round trivia elimination contest to determine the winner. Said Offspring frontman Dexter Holland: "After that, it's just your run-of-the-mill talent portion and swimsuit competition."

WHERE EAGLES DARE
Forget the Bush and Gore brouhaha, the real fight for glory rages between the Eagles and Michael Jackson. The classic rockers had previously held the Recording Industry Association of America's title of best-selling album, with 1976's "Their Greatest Hits 1971-1975" going 26-times Platinum. On Oct. 31, however, the RIAA bestowed the certification to Jackson's "Thriller," tying the Eagles' record. Now, the Eagles have soared past Jackson, upping their sales to 27-times Platinum and snagging the title again. "The unprecedented feat of selling 27 million records speaks volumes about their legions of fans," RIAA President Hilary Rosen said, "and the fact that this is simply one of those ‘must-have' albums." Jackson demanded a recount of all sales in West Palm Beach, FL.

WHAT A GIRL WANTS IS A BOYFRIEND
Christina Aguilera has finally found a man of her own. The pop tart, who has admittedly been hot for MTV's Carson Daly, Lit's A. Jay Popoff, Limp Bizkit's Fred Durst and Eminem, and has been spotted playing tonsil hockey with Enrique Iglesias, has admitted to Access Hollywood she now has a boyfriend. The lucky guy is George Santos, one of her backup dancers. Said Aguilera: "I think falling in love tops everything in such an emotional craziness. Relationships are funny, weird and hard, but I've had a lot of fun and we'll see where it goes…" Aguilera cut the interview short when her man-radar sensed actor/singer Joey Lawrence was taking out the trash—without a shirt on.

Meanwhile, fellow ex-Mousketeer Britney Spears is assembling a harem of her own—Captain Morgan, Jack Daniels, Johnnie Walker. According to the German paper Bild, the teen queen spent more than 8000 on a Halloween-night booze bender. (We don't know how much that is in U.S. dollars, but it's gotta be a lot of Boone's Farm.) The paper claims Spears was knocking back Pina Coladas, White Russians, wine and champagne, as well as smoking cigarettes, at a club in Leipzig, Germany. Witnesses said the teen dream left in a "wobbly state of intoxication." We're glad to see she got her money's worth.

JUST CALL HIM DOWNLOAD DAVE
In the '80s, there was "Dave TV." Now David Lee Roth has set his sights on the Internet. Diamond Dave has made his "Look At All The People Here Tonight" available exclusively to radio via the Internet. Instead of using CDs or carts, radio stations will access the song on the Net to play on-air. The track, which features Marilyn Manson crony John Lowery on guitar, will have its accompanying video shown exclusively on Roth's official site, Slawterhouse.com. The site is financially backed by Sy Sperling.
