InsiderOne founder and CEO Michael Goldberg has joined StarPolish's Industry Advisory Board. Goldberg will ink a weekly column, "The Drama You've Been Craving," for the site's Current Issues section. Goldberg is best known as founder of the pioneering music site Addicted To Noise. Recently, he did a rather quiet stint at ARTISTdirect. Goldberg joins the ranks of Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello, former Minuteman Mike Watt, the Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Artemis Records CEO Danny Goldberg on the board.
Creem founder and music historian Dave Marsh and HITS' own golden boy, Jeff "Candy Pants" Rabhan, have also been tapped as site contributors. Marsh will bring to the table artist reviews and his "American Grandstand" column created originally for Rolling Stone. Rabhan will demonstrate the proper way to apply hair mousse.
In addition, StarPolish has named Frank Davis as Director of Operations and Community. Davis will oversee the site's design and community building. He formerly served as New Media Director for Astralwerks Records, where he helped its Web site nab the Yahoo Internet Life Best Label Site for 2000.
Said StarPolish President and CEO Vivek J. Tiwary: "Frank Davis' strong Web development and promotional background, coupled with his record industry experience, will be extremely beneficial to StarPolish's growth plans. I'm confident that Frank will help StarPolish reach our goals."
