NEW TOWER POWER?

Superproducer Andy Slater Offered Top Spot At Capitol, Sources Say
Inside sources confirm that producer Andy Slater (Wallflowers, Macy Gray, Fiona Apple) has been offered the Prexy slot at Capitol in the wake of the FXM management deal's collapse.

While Slater, who is repped by Arthur Indursky, will mull the offer over during what remains of the holidays, accepting it would require him to negotiate his way out of his current label deal with Sony. However, most observers feel this could be accomplished.

The fate of current Capitol President Roy Lott remains in question.
