Because No News Is Filler News

Sony Computer Entertainment dropped the surprising news Thursday (6/8) that it will be offering a new product called PSone. The PSone is supposed to be a portable version of the PlayStation—the 32-bit game system which is in the process of being replaced by the bigger, faster and more productive Playstation 2 and now the PSone. The new "portable" model is a third the size of the Playstation, but it doesn't run on batteries. Um, anything is portable as long as it can be carried. Isn't the appeal of Nintendo's GameBoy the fact that it keeps kids entertained and quiet on long trips?…GlobalMedia.com has agreed to buy contractual relationships with 212 radio stations from OnRadio.com. GlobalMedia now has deals to provide Internet solutions for 260 stations, which means that they users can hear stations such as KBLX and WBLS anywhere in the world. Streaming music for everyone! Or something like that… Panasonic announced that DVD audio players will be available in America in July. The low-end player will cost $1,000. Somewhere Neil Young is complaining about a loss of fidelity… Two recent studies by the Angus Reid Group Inc. suggest that 36% of all adult Internet users have downloaded music from the Web. The same survey noted that 99% of all adult Internet users have looked for celebrity nudes. And one percent of all adult Internet users are liars… Surprisingly, there hasn't been any news from MP3.com today. What? Oh, that's right, they're busy.
