If the poll's British bent isn't obvious enough yet, consider that Oasis' "(What's The Story) Morning Glory" and Massive Attack's "Blue Lines" also cracked the top ten. Two other Beatles' albums—"A Hard Day's Night" at #5 and "The Beatles" (aka "The White Album") at #7—also made the list. Releases by Kylie Minogue, Hawkwind and Cliff Richard clogged up the remainder of the top 20.
A similar poll sponsored by the British music mag Melody Maker last December named The Smiths' "The Queen Is Dead" the greatest of all time. That album came in at #27 on the Q poll.
In a related story, a British journalists unanimously declared yesterday's pick for greatest band of all time to be crap today.
