Amplified, an online business-to-business fulfillment service for entertainment products, has added Preview Systems' e-commerce platform to its digital-distribution arsenal. The deal makes Preview Amplified's latest partner in integrating digital rights management with the company's e-commerce efforts and extensive network of online retail affiliates.

Amplified Holdings Inc. President Wayne Parker says Preview Systems offered his company "an opportunity to further enhance the value of our services to online retailers—and avoid those pesky RIAA lawsuits."

Among the companies that use Preview's technology for e-tailing are Beyond.com, buy.com, Corel, EMI Recorded Music, Reciprocal and Supertracks, among others.

Added Preview Systems CEO Vincent Pluvinage: "Using our digital music e-commerce platform, Amplified can broaden its service offerings to online retailers. Now, can someone please explain how I can download this Eminem track from Napster?"

Amplified offers a full suite of services for entertainment companies and retailers selling entertainment products on the Internet, providing fulfillment of CDs, DVDs, digital downloads and custom CDs to many of the Internet's leading retail sites. Its owners include Valley Media, Inc., Bear Stern's Constellations Ventures and Chase Capital, among others.
