Legendary Atlantic Records Group Co-Chairman/Co-CEO ahmet ertegun',390,400);">ahmet ertegun',390,400);">Ahmet Ertegun was rushed from his Easthampton, L.I. home over Memorial Day weekend to a New York area hospital with what is being described as a "mild embolism in a blood vessel in his right eye." Although he lost some vision in the eye, Ertegun was treated and released. According to his physician, Dr. Edmund Sonneblick, Ertegun has "absolutely no other impairment and no recurrences are anticipated."

Ertegun, who co-founded the label and has been a prime mover in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame from the very beginning, has resumed much of his daily activities. He was out at last Monday's record release party celebrating Sinead O'Connor's first album for the label, "Faith and Courage," at the Lava Restaurant, and tonight he'll present label colleague Jason Flom with the United Jewish Association's "Music Visionary of the Year" award at Tavern on the Green.
