If A Little Knowledge Is A Dangerous Thing, This Is Almost Certainly Lethal
Aaah, more partnering. This can lead to only one thing--inbreeding. We ought to know.

Nevertheless, e-business network Digital Island, Inc. has partnered with online music community Soundbreak.com to provide the interactive site with even more hosting, network and content delivery. Soundbreak.com will use Digital Island's services to provide an e-commerce outlet in addition to more live entertainment. The site already features 24-hour DJ webcasts and a number of interactive departments for registered viewers. As part of the alliance, Digital Island will take stock in Soundbreak and also call in requests with different voices to make it sound like more people are tuning in… It dices, it slices, it'll change modern life as we know it--and it can be yours! Multimedia manufacturer ReQuest Multimedia Inc. has begun shippingits AudioReQuest Digital Music System, an MP3-based home stereo system designed to incorporate digital media in the home. In what seems to be another ally for those scoundrel digital revolutionaries, ReQuest's CEO Steven Vasquez prophesied that "Listening to music directly for CDs will soon become a thing of the past." The AudioReQuest hard-drive-enabled digital jukebox will: play CDs, remember them, store and organize more than 300 hours of them, transfer music from CDs, MP3s and PCs and record from cassettes, LPs and the radio. Though stand-alone, the unit can also be connected online or to a PC for Internet-enhance features. All this for only $799.95. Is nothing sacred?… In related news, ReQuest is partnering with digital music site Emusic.com. The Web site will contribute sample MP3 music to AudioRequest customers… WWW.COM, Inc. won't be outdone in partnering. The music application service provider is teaming with UK Television broadcaster Carlton Commuication to form WWW.COM EUROPE, expanding its market reach overseas. Won't the Queen Mother be ecstatic? Carlton will invest over $11 million into the parent company and another $14 million in the UK counterpart.
